HTML <accesskey> Attribute

For menus built from links, the accesskey allows instant, keyboard access. Or that's what the spec says. Here are the results of actual tests:

Firefox 1.5, Windows - works correctly.
Firefox 1.5, Linux - works correctly.
Firefox 2, Windows - nothing happens.

Konqueror 3.3.2, Linux - nothing happens.

MSIE 6 - moves focus to the link.
MSIE 7 - moves focus to the link.

Opera 8, Windows - beeps.
Opera 9, Windows - nothing happens.

Sorry to say, keyboard access is not generally available via the accesskey attribute.
