Appendix M—Medallion in Floor

I used to just click on one of the hardwood floors. SketchUp sent in the carpenters. I was maybe hoping for north/south boards, but if the SketchUp carpenters laid east/west boards that was OK. After all, they worked fast and for free.
Then I asked the carpenters if they could do fancy stuff. "Sure! We're experts!" I asked them what they could do with a fifteen-foot square entrance hall. This was their answer:

Do your SketchUp carpenters just do plain floors? You should challenge them to do more!
Here are the American specs:
- Fifteen-foot square hall
- Foot-wide border, mitered corners
- Six-sided, six-foot-wide, mitered center medallion
- Edges between the light and dark woods, not within the dark
Outside the U.S.:
- 4.5m square hall
- 25cm-wide border, mitered corners
- Six-sided, 1.8m-wide, mitered center medallion
- Edges between the light and dark woods, not within the dark
